Nestled on a peaceful half acre near the little town of Naʻalehu, Palaoa House is a comfortable homebase from which you can explore the entire island! Your 2 bed/1 bath rural island retreat offers starlit nights, expansive ocean views, and the peaceful ambiance of island life.
Palaoa House is your fully outfitted Big Island vacation home!
Inside, you’ll find a well-stocked kitchen with all the basics (salt, pepper, oils, and spices, coffee, tea) and a few other essentials.
Two queen sized beds with fresh linens offer a comfortable night’s sleep.
Fast wifi, games, TV w/ Roku, binoculars to scan the coastline, and local books.
Outside, unwind on the spacious lanai, and enjoy the sounds of nature, the gas grill, and the coastline views. Seasonally, you can find bananas, guavas, mangoes, and papayas growing on the property. Keep an eye out for our resident ʻIo (Hawaiian hawk).

Lovely and quite place; amazing view to the ocean. Beautiful garden. The house was well equipped. Half way between Kona and Volcano park; near to the southernmost point, the green sand beach and the black sand beach. The host gave us some fresh fruits from the garden.
